Lung Cancer:

This type of cancer forms in tissues of the lungs – usually in the cells that line air passages. Cigarette smoking is by far the biggest risk factor for developing lung cancer; however other causes include exposure to asbestos fibers, radon gas, and air pollution.

There is no sure way to prevent lung cancer, but quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for your health!

Colon Cancer:

This type of cancer starts in the cells that line the colon – the large intestine. It’s the third most common type of cancer in men and women, and it can occur at any age. The main risk factor for developing colon cancer is diet; eating a lot of red meat and processed foods increases your risk, while eating more fruits and vegetables decreases it.

There is no sure way to prevent colon cancer, but getting regular screenings (colonoscopies) is important for early detection

Breast Cancer:

This type of cancer starts in the cells that line milk ducts and lobes – the mammary glands. It’s most common among women, but men can get it too (about one percent). Risk factors for developing breast cancer include being a woman who has reached puberty at a later age than average or gone through menopause at an earlier age; older parents; previous personal history of breast cancer; family history

There is no sure way to prevent breast cancer, however there are some steps you can take such as regular checkups with your doctor and never smoke!

Leukemia:

This type of cancer forms in blood-forming tissues like bone marrow or lymph nodes. There are two main – acute leukemias, which affect the blood and bone marrow, and chronic leukemias, which are less common.
